Ochraceous Pewee

The ochraceous pewee (Contopus ochraceus) is a species of bird in the family Tyrannidae, the tyrant flycatchers. It is found in Costa Rica and Panama. == Taxonomy and systematics == The ochraceous pewee is monotypic. == Description == The ochraceous pewee is 16.5 to 18 cm (6.5 to 7.1 in) long and weighs about 23 g (0.81 oz). The sexes have the same plumage with a spiky crest. Adults have a dark brownish olive crown and crest. The rest of their head, their nape, and their upperparts are olive. Their wings are blackish with olive-buff, buff, or ochre ends on the coverts that show as two thin wing bars. Their tail is dusky and slightly notched. Their throat is pale yellow, their breast and flanks olive with an ochre wash, and their belly and undertail coverts buffy yellow. Their plumage fades and becomes duller with wear. They have a dark iris, a wide bill with a black maxilla and an orange-yellow mandible, and blackish legs and feet.
