1
Day 1 – Arrival in Entebbe & Mabamba Shoebill Photography
- After arrival at Entebbe International Airport, the expedition begins with a visit to Mabamba Wetland, one of Africa's finest locations for photographing the legendary Shoebill. Travelling quietly by traditional canoe allows close, respectful encounters with this prehistoric-looking bird. The wetland is also home to African Jacanas, Malachite Kingfishers, Purple Herons, Pied Kingfishers and numerous other species. The calm water, soft light and reflections create ideal conditions for striking compositions. In the evening the group meets for a welcome briefing, equipment check and discussion of the photographic objectives for the expedition.

Day 2 – Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary & Murchison Falls National Park
- An early departure leads north to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where a guided walking safari provides the rare opportunity to photograph Southern White Rhinos at eye level. Continuing to Murchison Falls National Park, the day concludes at the spectacular Top of the Falls where the Nile forces its way through a narrow gorge before plunging dramatically below. The afternoon light often creates rainbows and dramatic spray, offering spectacular landscape images.

Day 3 – Full Day Wildlife Photography in Murchison Falls
- The day starts before sunrise to maximize the beautiful golden light across the northern savannah. We search patiently for lions, elephants, Rothschild's giraffes, buffalo, Jackson's hartebeest and numerous antelope species. After lunch, a boat safari along the Nile offers exceptional opportunities to photograph hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants drinking at the riverbank and colourful birdlife including African Fish Eagles. If wildlife activity is exceptional, the evening game drive remains flexible to spend additional time with the subjects.

Day 4 - Scenic Journey to Kibale Forest
- The route to Kibale showcases Uganda's changing landscapes, tea plantations, crater lakes and rural villages. Frequent photography stops allow guests to capture authentic storytelling images. On arrival, there is time to photograph forest edges and colourful birds around the lodge.

Day 5 – Chimpanzee Trekking & Transfer to Queen Elizabeth
- The morning is dedicated to tracking wild chimpanzees in Kibale Forest. Fast-paced interactions, expressive faces and forest light create rewarding photographic challenges. After lunch, continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park where the changing scenery introduces a completely different ecosystem. Depending on arrival time, enjoy an evening game drive.

Day 6 – Queen Elizabeth National Park
- A full day exploring Queen Elizabeth National Park with a sunrise game drive followed by the famous Kazinga Channel boat cruise. The channel supports one of Africa's highest concentrations of hippos and offers excellent opportunities to photograph buffalo, elephants, crocodiles and a remarkable diversity of water birds.

Day 7 – Ishasha & Bwindi
- Travel south into the Ishasha sector in search of the famous tree-climbing lions. Unlike conventional safaris, ample time is allocated to observe behaviour and wait for the best compositions. Continue into the misty forests of Bwindi for overnight.

Day 8 – Mountain Gorilla Trek & Lake Bunyonyi
- Today's highlight is an unforgettable mountain gorilla trek. The objective is not simply to record the encounter but to create intimate, respectful images that tell the story of these extraordinary primates. Later, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for a peaceful sunset overlooking its islands.

Day 9 – Lake Mburo National Park
- After sunrise over Lake Bunyonyi, continue to Lake Mburo National Park. The open woodland provides ideal conditions for photographing zebras, giraffes, impalas, elands and birds. The final evening game drive celebrates Uganda's diversity in warm golden light.

Day 10 – Sunrise Safari & Departure
- Enjoy a final sunrise game drive or guided nature walk before returning to Entebbe. A stop at the Equator provides the perfect opportunity for creative travel photography before your international departure.
