Like the other typical fulvettas, it was long included in the Timaliidae genus Alcippe or in the Sylviidae. Ranging across the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia, it is endemic to Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal and Vietnam. Its natural habitat is temperate forests. == Gallery ==
