Photographing the Iberian Lynx in its natural habitat is a unique experience. The area around the hide is run by a family group in which we can observe adults, young cats and cubs
The Sierra de Andújar has the privilege of being the great stronghold of the Iberian Lynx, a species endemic to the Iberian Peninsula that, mainly due to habitat destruction and the decline in rabbit populations, was on the brink of extinction at the beginning of the century and, until recently, held the dubious title of being the most endangered feline on the planet. Fortunately, the situation could be intervened in time, and after great efforts ranging from captive breeding and the reintroduction of the species to the reinforcement of wild rabbit populations, the lynx is once again recovering the territories that belonged to it.
