Bordes Pirineu

Bordes Pirineu is a family-run collection of beautifully restored traditional mountain cabins nestled in the spectacular Vall Ferrera, within the Alt Pirineu Natural Park. Inspired by the region’s historic bordes—stone buildings once used by shepherds and livestock farmers—the project has carefully transformed these authentic mountain shelters into unique accommodation that combines traditional Pyrenean architecture with modern comfort, while preserving their original character and close connection to nature.

Today, Bordes Pirineu offers three exclusive cabins, each occupying its own privileged location among forests, alpine meadows and high mountain peaks. Every property has been restored with local stone, timber and slate, respecting the architectural heritage of the Pyrenees while providing a peaceful retreat for couples, photographers, hikers and nature lovers seeking an authentic mountain experience away from mass tourism.

Located in one of the wildest valleys of the Catalan Pyrenees, the cabins provide easy access to some of the region’s most iconic landscapes, including the Pica d’Estats, Monteixo, Baborte and the extensive network of hiking trails that cross the valley. The surrounding mountains are home to remarkable wildlife such as Bearded Vultures, Golden Eagles, Western Capercaillies, Pyrenean Chamois, Marmots and, on rare occasions, even the Brown Bear, making Bordes Pirineu an exceptional base for wildlife watching, landscape photography and outdoor adventures throughout the year.
