Se encuentra en Angola, Benín, Botsuana, Burkina Faso, Camerún, Chad, Congo, Costa de Marfil, Eritrea, Etiopía, Gambia, Ghana, Kenia, Malaui, Malí, Mauritania, Mozambique, Namibia, Níger, Nigeria, Portugal (introducida), Ruanda, Senegal, Somalia, Sudáfrica, Sudán, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia y Zimbabue.
