Se encuentra en Angola, Botsuana, Burundi, Gabón, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, República del Congo, República Democrática del Congo, Sudáfrica, Suazilandia, Tanzania, Zambia, y Zimbabue. Sus hábitats naturales son bosques tropicales, subtropicales, sabanas tropicales y arbustos secos subtropicales o tropicales.
