Tangara del paraíso

Photo © Thibaud Aronson — CC BY-SA 4.0 — Source: iNaturalist photo #94893412La tangara del paraíso (en Perú) (Tangara chilensis), también denominada tángara o tangará siete colores (en Colombia y Venezuela), o siete colores (en Ecuador y Venezuela), es una especie de ave paseriforme de la familia Thraupidae, perteneciente al numeroso género Tangara. Es nativa de América del Sur, en la cuenca amazónica y el escudo guayanés. En ocasiones se la llama tangara chilena debido a su nomenclatura binomial, pero este nombre no debería emplearse para el género Tangara porque Chile no es su hábitat, y porque ese nombre ya es usado para el otro siete colores (Tachuris rubrigastra), nativa de Chile.
