Photo © Hugo Hulsberg — CC0 1.0 — Source: iNaturalist #166245572El busardo gorgiblanco (Buteo albigula), también denominado gavilán de garganta blanca o aguilucho chico, es una especie de ave accipitriforme de la familia Accipitridae considerado igual como un águila, Habita en la zona centro-sur de Chile, Perú y Argentina.
Esta especie suele mostrar una longitud de entre 40-45 cm y es de hábito ornitófago, es decir, sus presas predilectas son otras aves de menor envergadura que ella.
La temporada de anidación al noroeste de la Patagonia es de septiembre hasta abril. La pareja anida solitaria. La incubación toma alrededor de un mes y es efectuada por los dos padres.
