Meådal – Golden Eagle Photography – Norway
Experience the quiet of a Norwegian winter at Meådal, where wild Golden Eagles move through a landscape of snow-covered forest and mountains.
From January to mid-March, we welcome one to four photographers for a private photography stay in Flornes, Trøndelag, in central Norway. Meådal is about 30 minutes by car from Trondheim Airport Værnes, which offers several international flight connections. Your group has exclusive use of two heated photography hides and the Red Cabin, a traditional log cabin built in 1908.
Each day begins before first light. Settle into the hide, watch the winter landscape come to life and be ready for whatever nature brings. Afterwards, return to the cabin to warm up, prepare a meal and look through your photographs.
You can meet us at the farm, or arrange to be picked up at Trondheim Airport Værnes for an additional fee. From the farm, we transport you, your luggage and camera equipment to the cabin by snowmobile and sled. After an introduction to the cabin and hides, you enjoy the experience at your own pace.
This is a paid stay with advance booking and a minimum of two days in the hides. The eagles are wild, so every encounter is different: we cannot promise a sighting or predict how close they will come.
