The skies of the Sierra de Andújar are the setting for a multitude of bird species, among which the large birds of prey stand out for their size and power.
The great star of these skies is the Spanish Imperial Eagle, with some 24-25 pairs, one of the most threatened eagles in the world and another endemic species of the Iberian Peninsula. Alongside it, Eurasian Goshawks and buzzards are regulars at the perches. Large scavenging birds also use the surroundings of the hide to sun themselves or rest, with both Griffon Vulture and Cinereous Vulture to be seen, the latter being another threatened species for which Andújar is an important stronghold.
In search of observing and immortalising these species, we have a photographic hide with views of the heart of the sierra. An excellent opportunity to see these birds in their habitat.
Smoking or making noise inside the hide is completely forbidden. If any unforeseen event arises, the guide will be informed.
