Jardim da Amazônia Lodge

Jardim da Amazônia is a family-run wildlife lodge and Field Station in São José do Rio Claro, Mato Grosso, at the southern edge of the Amazon and the transition with the Cerrado.

The Zanchet family has protected the area since 1986 and welcomed guests since 1997. The lodge is within the Rio Claro Important Bird Area recognized by BirdLife International and is a Top eBird Hotspot, with more than 590 bird species recorded and seven primate species.

Guests explore riverine forest, lakes, trails and the Rio Claro through guided Birdwatching and Primates itineraries of 2, 3 or 4 nights. Wildlife lives freely and sightings are never guaranteed.

The property has 13 guest rooms, full-board regional cuisine, a natural spring pool, Wi-Fi and local guides in Portuguese and English. Hospitality supports habitat protection, biodiversity monitoring and field research.
