A course in wildlife tracking, nature photography, and ecosystem conservation beyond the Arctic Circle.
May is a golden season for nature in the Svalbard archipelago. Not only can spring still bring dramatic snowstorms, but the sun no longer disappears below the glacial horizon. Beneath the endless daylight of the Arctic spring, we will witness the remarkable awakening of life in one of the world’s most extraordinary ecosystems.
Throughout this course, participants will attend talks by leading experts on Arctic ecology and conservation, explore and track wildlife on foot, by snowmobile, and by boat, and learn how to photograph wild animals responsibly, using techniques that minimize disturbance and environmental impact.
Join us for this unique adventure with Asociación Biomas and El Guardabosques, two organizations committed to sustainable travel and responsible wildlife experiences. Through scientific outreach, environmental education, and wildlife conservation, we promote ethical practices that foster a deeper understanding and protection of the natural world.
