Sete Cidades National Park

Where sandstone plateaus rise dramatically above the cerrado scrubland, Seven Cities carved its legend into the Brazilian landscape. Spanning 113 square kilometres across Piauí state, this protected sanctuary encompasses a spectacular mosaic of habitats: deep canyons slicing through rust-coloured rock faces, riparian forests clinging to seasonal watercourses, and expansive grasslands punctuated by native vegetation.
